Ok! I've been delaying this for tooooo long!
I'm going to post the rest of my pictures from New York and later my Washington pics.

Here goes...

On the 4th of July, Independance day, I went rollerblading to Central Park...

Local League Baseball game @ Central Park

Rollerblading past the great lawn

Famous view of the great lawn with sky scrapers poking out of the trees

... and yet another one

Later at night, I went to the Lower East end where the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks was taking place.

I couldnt believe the size and scale of this thing! It was HUGE! The fireworks went on for about half an hour, with many fireworks I hadn't ever seen before including smily's, apples, huge sky covering pixi dust... etc

On my last full day in New York, a group of people I met at the Hostel and I went on to see the Statue of Liberty up close and climb to the top of the Empire State Building...

Our new friend Seagul followed our ferry all the way to Liberty Island. Some of us were entertained by feeding him in mid air

Approaching the Statue of Liberty

The ferry is about to dock on Liberty Island

I finally made it.. I pose with the Statue of Liberty at my back

And now the Empire State building....

The Empire State Building (meet me @ the BIG BUILDING.. hehe... private joke...lol)

Views of the city from above: Chrysler Building in the center

Looking down at the city`

We went down and passed by the Flatiron building...

Later at night, we had some time to spare... so we went to Times Square to watch SPIDERMAN 2 @ Loews theatre...

It was soooo cool reviewing my trip on the big screen. Seeing all the places I had been to that week, and some of the places I had just been at like the Empire State building and the flatiron building which in Spiderman was the Daily Bugle building
... and then the coolest part was coming out of watching the movie and walking into Times Square... WoW! It felt like we had walked into the movie... yellow cabs, the lights of Times Square... incredible experience!

To end the day, I suggested to the guys that we go check out the diner which is used in exterior shots in the tv series Seinfeld. It's called Monk's in the series, but is really called Tom's Restaurant.. up on 112th street and Broadway:

We went in for some hamburgers and fries... the service was good and friendly but the interior looks nothing like on the series... they just use the diner for exterior shots

Ok.. to end New York off, I'll put in some RANDOM pictures here of other places I went to... including the EXCELLENT Hayden Planetarium and Museum of Natural History (great shows narrated by Tom Hanks and Harrison Ford) and Madison Square Garden

Hayden Planetarium

Madison Square Garden

Okay, that's all folks, later I'll compile my pictures of Washington...
