Hey all!

It''s been a while since my last blog so here we go with some news....

I've been pretty busy lately working on the 4th generation of my Portuguese community project: www.TorontoPT.com ... it's been on my mind for months and it's a big sigh of relief to get it into a webpage format and out of my brain! lol

The image “http://www.torontopt.com/graphics/screencap.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Also, I've been getting used to my new PowerBook and slowly transitioning from Windows to OS X... the more I use it, the more practical uses I find for it! It's just so .... humm... practical ... hehe... Everything I need is in that little slate of aluminium, so awesome!
This week I won an auction on eBay for an M-Audio Sonica Theatre which is a USB audio card with 7.1 Sorround sound... so I finally replaced the last bit of usage I had for my PC.
So now I'm transitioning all my files into the Mac.

Well, the cool thing about all this is that I'm looking at all the files I've created on my PC for the past so many years ... one by one and finding a good place to put them in my Mac.

I came across pictures I haven't posted here yet and I think would be nice to show you all.. I went to a Bryan Adams concert this summer with a friend, Alina and her mom. We surprised her mom with the concert... she thought she was going to a birthday party but ended up going to see Bryan Adams! :-D

So without further adue.... here's some pics:

I gotta mention something about Kit and Kat, my cats

Well, Kit started peeing on my couch a while back --- ya i know, yuck! --- and I couldn't figure out a way to have him stop.. disciplining a cat is like disciplining a 2 year old kid... they'll cry no matter what you do, in this case pee on the bed.. lol

I tried everthing, even spraying an enzime based product on the spots he liked "to go" to completely kill off the odour and even had him neutered (was gonna do that anyway of course).

This week I found out why he was relieving himself on my couch....

Here's one for google à lá Jerry Springer:

"Why does my cat pee on the bed / couch?"

Simple answer: Cats will do ANYTHING for attention.

Even though I've had cats since I was a kid, only know, living with them in my apartment, I'm learning alot of new things. One of them I just mentioned above: Cat's are like 2 or 3 year old kids.

I traced my thoughts back to when Kit started his wizz-on-Pedro's-couch debacle... What changed? hummm... SNAP! I know! I had just started dating a girl, Carla and having her over often... Poor Kit got jealous and started spraying our hangout spot (the couch) to send Carla the message: "HE'S MINE YOU HEAR! MEOW!"

Of course knowing which cat was peeing on the couch, the attention I would give him even got worse since I would be mad at him.... so the peeing continued until I made clear he couldn't even get on the couch.. of course this only worked when I was home, when I wasn't it was Urinefest! Eww! lol

Anyhoo... This week, I discovered this must be the problem so I started flooding my feline friend with attention. I noticed that at first he didn't want any affection... but when I would put Kat on my lap and pet her, Kit would look sideways at me pretending he wasn't paying attention! Ha HA! I knew cats were smart, but this??

So I started making sure I pet both kittens equally, and giving alot of new attention to Kit. Guess what? The pissing around stopped! Kit seems like a happier cat and I'm a happier owner.

So once again, to summerize it up for a google search:

Q:Why Does My Cat Pee on the Bed
A: Because he wants your attention!

In my months long research I also found that another potential reason can be a tract infection which male cats commonly get so take them to the vet if symptoms persist.

Okay! Seems to be all for today, I'll try to post more regularly!

:-)
Pedro
