*The Girl* Saga Continues

Last summer, I wrote about how incredible coincidences had brought me close to a woman who I've called "The Girl" on this blog. Whether it was serendipity or some freak coincidences, I couldn't ignore the signs. From who? I don't know. For what? I'm also blank regarding that question since it ended not working out. Why was fate (or whatever) so insistent on this girl?

One of the biggest coincidences was that her name kept on coming up several times a day in a treasure hunt manner, leading me to bump into her in very unlikely circumstances. It's not like her name is very common nor is Toronto a small city by any means.

Well, I've long forgotten about this but recently, Marla, whom I work with told me she had seen this website and we talked about the coincidences. Marla asked me the name of "The Girl" and it turns out her middle name is the same. Wow, I thought... bumping into her name again.... We were interrupted by Josh (a Bay associate) who wanted me to pull a name out of a ballot. I pulled one out and left it on the counter while Josh and Marla each pulled out a name. They read out theirs. I picked up all three and decided to call the winners of our contest. When I picked up a random ballot from the three, the one I had pulled out was in front of me. I read it for the first time: The winner of the contest had "The Girl's" name!!! Marla and I were just talking about it!!! WTF! It's difficult to express the magnitude of these coincidences. I believe Marla grasped it as she saw it unfold before her eyes.

Where is this leading? I'm yet to see .... but "The Girl's" name seems to be more important than "The Girl" herself since she is no longer living in Toronto and it's unlikely I'll bump into her again. Then again, the way things have been working out, I might bump into her on my trip to Vancouver, San Francisco and L.A. (more on that later).
