An Afternoon In Paris

Today, I arrived for work at the Bay around 12pm anxious for the special event of the month: Meet Paris Hilton. I had a tip from last night about which entrance she would be using and what time she would be arriving so I decided to stick around and wait for her to come in.

... of course, Paris is always "fashionably late" so I ended up going upstairs to the area where she would make her appearance. After a couple of hours of waiting, she was interviewed on stage by CityTVs Liz West and then began an autographing session.

I took a million pictures but I'll post just a few of the best here:

As I approached Paris, I told her it was a pleasure meeting her and put out my hand. She softly took my hand with her left one. She then asked me my name, when I told her, she repeated it and signed an autograph on a photo of her with her new fragrance on glossy paper.

In conclusion, I must say that I wasn't much of a fan before I went in and came out liking Paris Hilton. She's very soft spoken, she genuinely likes her fans and is smarter than the front she puts on. Keep an eye on her, she will continue to be sucessful with her growing business based on her image and personality while managing the business on the background.

Now... That's Hot!

Yard Sale: The Meeting Place

My first ever yard sale went smoothly. I managed to bring everything down on a small cart and set up shop under the gazebo. The first couple of hours were quite boring as nobody was stopping by.
Later in the afternoon, when the sun was less glazing down on our heads, kids started playing with some of the items I had for sale which apparently prompted more people to come over and see what was so popular about the gazebo today.
I sold most of the items that I really wanted to sell but some stuff was left over in the end. I'll donate some stuff to my brother and try to sell the rest on ebay next week.

The best purpose for this sale was meeting my new neighbours. It turned out to be a good way to break the ice. One interesting thing I found out about my building is that it is practically empty! It's a very large building which is perhaps only 50% full (if even that much). I look forward to seeing the people I met in the elevator.

Thanks for those who stopped by!
