Hey guys, I thought you might be blown away by this as much as I was...

The new internet revolution, which people have been calling Internet 2.0 for the past few years is finally arriving .... Powered by a technology called AJAX, full blown applications run off the internet without the need to install them on your system.

You've already been using AJAX probably without knowing: Google Maps is powered by this tech. However, a full blown word processor, an illustration application and video editing software have all been released:

Last minute news: Google just released the BETA version of their online word processor: Writely. It's going to be integrated into Blogger (also owned by Google)..



This technology has potential beyond the obvious applications. Not only will people be able to run complex applications directly online without the need to have it on their system - allowing future cell phones to run limitless applications without a need for a hard drive - but this technology is 100% OS agnostic. There is no differentiating between which OS it will run on because it runs on a browser which is universal.

The future of the internet looks bright!

iPedro: In Trickling Mode

Life is busy. Am I complaining? Hell no! My new company MarqxC3 is taking off... I'm getting work and I'm ramping up my potential to get even more.

Because of this, my updates on iPedro.com have been slow in coming. My new website is still stuck on the drawing board while I work on one of my client's sites.

Quick pointers:

• I finally got a MacBook Pro to replace my stolen PowerBook. My L.A. Nightmare is almost over: my insurance has helped me recoup most of what was lost and things are getting back to normal.

• Spring is coming so the inevitable question of "Where am I going this summer?" is being asked. A reliving of New York + Washington has come up but Chicago is often on the back of my mind. Vancouver is not far from my there either. Montreal left me with a good impression so it is yet another possibility. My big trip to Asia is still far ahead (2008) while a return to Portugal to visit my family seems as far as ever. Decisions decisions.
